A direct referral is a referral that starts communicating with you immediately through our platform. Since we offer ways for referrals to reach out to you instantly, we refer to these as direct referrals.
This helps you quickly identify the referrals who have already taken the step to contact you, which typically means they have a high intent to buy or sell.
It also gives referrals a faster way to connect with you when they’re ready to take action, allowing them to reach out right away.
Direct referrals come from someone contacting you directly through our website. They may skip the form entirely, view your profile, and reach out to you directly.
How you will view your direct referral is in the pro portal, under the direct referral tab.
(Currently, direct referrals are not visible in the app.) Once you have input their email address under the update info section in the direct referrals tab, that lead will go into the opportunities list.
Calls from direct referrals will go directly to your Ramsey number, just like other Ramsey referral calls.
Even if you can’t answer right away, the referral will still appear in your Pro Portal under the Direct Referrals tab with a red notification badge when a new referral comes in. From there, you can call the referral, send a message, or update their information.
📣 Pro Tip: Direct referrals are high-intent leads, so be sure to call or message them as soon as possible to increase your chances of connecting.
Keep in mind, contact information (including their name) will not appear until an actual conversation is made, voicemail does not count. You can still message and communicate through the portal, but contact details won’t be available until a conversation happens.
Once you connect with them through a real phone conversation, you’ll be able to update their information. Be sure to include the referral’s real name, email, address, and any notes after speaking with them.
Once you add the referral’s email address, the lead will automatically move from the Direct Referrals tab to the All Referrals tab.
Once the email is added, the referral will move into your All Referrals workflow.
📣 Remember, since these referrals reached out to you directly, they’re often actively looking to hire a pro right now.
